The Enthusiast Group is seeking an advertising and marketing representative for its network of adventure and participant sports websites and online communities. This is an exciting opportunity to get in early and help a new Internet media company grow. We are based in Boulder, Colorado.

We publish participative websites on sports and recreational activities such as mountain biking, road biking, climbing, running, horse sports, skateboarding, kayaking, etc. You'll be working with us to create, sell and manage revenue streams from online advertising, sponsorships and partnerships.

The ideal candidate is:

• Well connected with strong relationships in the outdoor products and travel industries.
• A self-starter able to handle multiple tasks while still being entrepreneurial, consultative and results-oriented.
• Passionate and knowledgeable about what's happening online.
• An expert in online advertising and marketing.
• Creative in devising new and original opportunities for advertisers (not just selling banners ads).
• Up to the challenge of selling for media sites that rely largely on user content.
• High energy, confident and hard working.

Responsibilities:

• Building an online advertising/marketing operation from the ground up.
• Prospecting for and developing advertiser and marketer relationships appropriate to our audiences and products.
• Persistent follow-through and consistent service levels after the deal is signed.
• Meeting revenue objectives by selling media, sponsorships and other programs to agencies and clients directly.
• Working to meet the objectives of both the client and the Enthusiast Group.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years proven online experience selling online advertising.
• History of strong work ethic with a competitive sales drive.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
• Strong negotiating and sales skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• BS, BA or equivalent.
