Yann Ropars, director of business development
Heavy duty enthusiast, Yann is an avid mountain biker and loves documenting the life of his entourage with his trusted camera (which can be see on his chest in the picture below). Energy, creativity, systemic thinking and a love of "people" (all kinds) is probably the best way to describe him.
Yann was born and raised in France (Nantes); graduated from the University of Nantes in business management, and also studied abroad in Flanders (Belgium, yes they brew the best beer) where he discovered his passion for international business and diversity. He then moved again to Belgium to carry out his MBA which took him to the University of Colorado at Denver, to finish his masters work. After working several years in the data storage environment in the US, he moved to New Zealand to head the sales and marketing of a database application product and services provider (ASP model). Yann then moved back to Colorado a few years ago to head the business development of a bio-sensor startup.
Yann now drives revenue generation and shaping the business model for the Enthusiast Group.
In the rest of their time, Yann and Kirsti (his magical wife) are trying to raise 2 good human beings: Zak and Theo -- boys boys boys...
